IGMC Day 29: Some More Progress

Hey Everyone,

I got the Skills done for the Warrior class and also made two more States in the process.

I didn't get more than that done because I did TAFE this morning and then was helping a friend with their website during the afternoon.

I re-arranged my schedule again and will make up for it tomorrow.

I also removed my stage of drawing rough maps because at this stage it wouldn't really beneift me that much as opposed to going straight into rough maps in the engine.

Hopefully the Skills will be finished, the rough maps in RPG Maker done, and some progress on my Adventurezator level tomorrow.

IGMC Day 28: A Lot of Progress

Hey Everyone,

I am very happy with my progress today.

I managed to do the stats for all Weapons, Armour, and Items and also do all the States (subject to change depending on the Skills).

I didn't get quite as much done today as I would have liked but I got most of it done.

I also double checked and am 99.9% that I get all of Friday (the 7th) and will then have all that night and some of Saturday (the 8th) morning to make sure my game is uploaded due to time zone differences. (I am in Australia and use UTC + 10 while the contest uses UTC time)

I will post on the official Q & A just to make sure.

Because of this I am comfortable with the amount I got done today because I shifted my schedule around and should still have plenty of time to finish and upload my game.

Tomorrow I will be doing all the Skills and drawing the rough maps and hopefully making some progress on my Adventurezator level.

IGMC Days 25-27: A New Plan and New Chance

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the delayed blog post.

I considered my options and I have decided that I will try and submit a cut down version of my game.

I looked at  what would need to be done and how much time I have left and have set out a schedule.

Since then I have come up with the in-game descriptions for all the Weapons, Armour, Items, and the Warrior class, finished the stats and a little bit of balancing for all enemies that will be encountered and the Warrior class with no equips, and today (IGMC Day 28) I will hopefully finish the stats and effects for all the Weapons, Armour and Items, create my Skills and States, and draw up rough versions of all my maps.

I have also come up with a basic plot for my Adventurezator level and if I have any time left over today will decide on all the objectives.

IGMC Day 24: Messing Around With Adventurezator and Maybe a New Plan

Hey Everyone,

Did some more TAFE today and had a couple goes at messing with Adventurezator.

I have also had an idea where I may stilll be able to submit a really cut down version of my game for the contest.

I am going to investigate how it would work today but if I only do one class and cut out a heap of sidequests/secret areas I may still be able to submit it in time.

After the IGMC is done I will really get into learning how to use RPG Maker VX Ace and also hopefully get a decent laptop to be able to use all the awesome programs I got in the Humble Game Making Bundle.

IGMC Days 22-23: Adventurezator and Sad News

Hey Everyone,

Forgot to make a blog post last night and nearly forgot to make one tonight.

I spent the last two days doing TAFE and messing around in Adventurezator: When Pigs Fly.

I think I have decided to drop my game entry as I don't think I would be able to get it finished and to a quality I would find acceptable in time for the deadline.

This doesn't mean I will stop working on my game but it does mean I will focus on my Adventurezator level for the Prize Pig mini-contest and I might also have a go at the Golden Reviewer prize and resume work on my game after the IGMC.
