5. What is God? God is a Spirit,1 infinite,2 eternal,3 and unchangeable,4 in His being,5 wisdom,6 power,7 holiness,8 justice, goodness, and truth.9 1. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. 2. Job 11:7-9 Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than heaven-what can you do? Deeper than Sheol what can you know? 9Their measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea. 3. Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. 4. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 5. Exodus 3:14 And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And He said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you. 6. Psalm 147.5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. 7. Job 42:2 I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You. Revelation 4:8 And the four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come! 8. Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear You, 0 Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested. 9. Exodus 34:6-7 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation. In this day and generation so many people try to reduce God to fit into our concepts of who God is and how he should act, to many He is a best mate, to others He is only to be called on as a talisman or rabbits foot, I know when I spoke to a man who was a Jehovah Witness this is exactly how he treated God. If we look at the catechism question no 5 above and the answers with scriptural proofs we find a God that is above comprehension with our mortal finite mind. He only gives us small glimpse of Himself in His word, We need to trust Him in all that He says and does. Our God is indeed a truly Awesome God, He needs to be worshipped and adored for Who He is.

This will I hope be the recording of our journey to self sufficiency and the building of a christian community. I believe that we as a family have been called to Christian Agrarianism.
