All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
All Things Bright and Beautiful (1848)
Another year goes bye.
We hope to make a few changes this year in an attempt to streamline things if you have any ideas let us know.
The church as a whole has not escaped this process of modernisation eg. Small groups, segregated Sunday Schools, youth groups, girls and boys clubs, young marrieds, and golden oldies the church to has joined in the breaking down of the family unit no wonder the youth do not “Honour thy father and thy mother” should not the church be family orientated with activities for all the family.
The church has suffered in other ways, in that the church service has been infiltrated with many of the world’s ideas, eg. The introduction of Hymns , music, bands, items, and plays. The focus of the service has become entertainment not the preaching of the Word.
Australian Christian Agrarianism
The Industrial Revolution of the 18th and 19th century ushered in the beginning of the end of the extended family and the family unit as such. Families moved into the cities to get work in the factories only to work long hours in them.
With modernization and new inventions down through the ages, it has only made it worse
The Telephone (land and mobile), the T.V., Car, the computer and the internet, all have contributed to the breakdown of western society, we have become isolated and insulated loosing our sense of what community is all about.

This will I hope be the recording of our journey to self sufficiency and the building of a christian community. I believe that we as a family have been called to Christian Agrarianism.
